Conflict with the
Yakuza
A record
from Surpanakha,a Rakshasa bound

Hebi 3658 – evening
We need to find
the ship of this Captain who is supposed to help us – Hector is arranging for a
sort of mechanical demon called a drone to try and find it, which will arrive
in an hour from now.
Tetsuro (the manager of this inn) is called away
due a disturbance downstairs – DeLambre and Darig go with him, the rest of us are not invited. After
some time, the room starts shrieking – Torc asks the fone what is happening, but all we can hear is the sound of
combat.
Obviously, Alitta and I decide to go down – Torc
asks us to carry him but changes his mind. His loss. There is a door to the outside in our room,
with a fence round it, which we use as the easiest way down – I can only hope
it isn't all over when we get there.
It is – boring. We
fly back up.
We go up to the
roof where Hector imbues the drone demon with life and it flies off to fulfil
its task. Usefully, we can see through its eyes in an enchanted painting – the
ship we seek is where it is expected to be, but it is guarded.

Plans are
discussed regarding getting the ship away from those who stole it – Alitta has a spell which might obscure our approach, so I
fly off to get some water from the harbour.
The plan is, we fly in (those who can't will be carried by those who
can) – once there, DeLambre will cast a Terror spell
and then we fight them.
I fly in with Darig (well, more of a glide from the inn but it works) and
drop him on one side of the ship's roof while I land on the other side. I try
and cast illusion on myself to appear an inconsequential sea bird but it really
doesn't seem to be working very well – too close to Amber, perhaps?
Anyway, Darig tells me to stop anyone coming out who isn't him or DeLambre, and then moves out of sight into the ship.
There is a lot of
noise and screaming and the banging of guns and then I see two targets coming
up one side and one on the other. There is a canopy along the route of the
single target and I don't think any of them have seen me – I fly to the middle
of this canopy and, when he sticks his head out to see what's happening up
here, I grab him and throw him some distance onto the wharf. Although it would
have been nice to tear him to bits, I just don't have time.
War – can't all be
blood and disembowellings.
Which leaves the two
on the first side – I shoot one with the gun I brought with me, but the other
runs off back the way he came.
Wonder how Darig is getting on.
