What does the future hold
for me?
A Tarot reading by Madame Zora in Argent.
Significator, where you are now 6 of Swords: the
solving of immediate problems; a moving away from imminent danger; does not
suggest complete success which absolves the need for further struggle, but
indicates a major obstacle has been overcome and progress can be resumed; may
indicate travel away from trouble to more harmonious circumstances
Aspirator, where you are aiming 8 of Wands: hopeful change, movement
and activity; the ending of delays and a quickening of events. Suggests a suitable time for taking the initiative, acting with
courage and confidence to grasp opportunities as they occur. Important
journeys are indicated
Instigator, what brought you here Princess
of Pentacles: a young, petite, dark-featured woman in a sari
Cryptic, hidden influences Queen of Swords: a woman in a gothic
black dress with a hint of silver
Event 1 Knave of Swords: a man, dark of eye and
hair, dressed in black and green, balancing the point of a dagger on his finger
Event 2 10 of Swords: desolation, disruption
& ruin of a group, community or state; but this is the nadir, things can
only improve from now on, the worst has already happened
Event 3 The Tower: the shocking collapse of an
institution through the forces of destiny being worked out in the World; the
apparent unfairness of natural disasters which strike all, just and unjust,
alike – an actual ruined building
Event 4 7 of Cups: you’re faced with two or
more alternatives, one has exceptional promise but great perception is needed
to divine the correct choice; examine your aims and goals carefully to avoid a
major error of judgement – you may experience a mystical enlightenment
Culminator, where this is heading The
Lovers: a time of choice between old and new, based on intuition and inspiration
rather than intellect and reason.
Pivot, the focus Knight of Pentacles: a blond
sharp-featured man in armour but without a helm, wearing livery of orange, red
& brown.
“A surprisingly
masculine spread but without a single reversal, which is most favourable,
though the events give pause for thought. The Significator
tells me you’re on a long journey away from trouble at home but the Aspirator
suggests you’re relishing the adventure and look forward to reaching your
destination.
“The Instigator
is the Princess of Pentacles whom you are probably better placed to name than I.”
[Sorashi may recall Havelock mentioning that this is Sorashi herself.]
“The Queen of
Swords suggests she’s an important influence behind the scenes but the trouble
with the Cryptic is that it’s all too often a hidden figure, unknown to the querent.” [Sorashi must recognise
Deirdre.]
“The Events will
happen in this order but the gaps between them may vary widely. Soon you will
meet the Knave of Swords, who is a
keen knife-fighter and a gifted diplomat. Then you will encounter the aftermath
of a major war or other disaster – I suspect the events of the 10 of Swords are
responsible for The Tower. I suspect that all this will leads to the 7 of Cups,
where you will be forced to make a choice.
“The Culminator is The Lovers. The card can also reflect actual
lovers but in this case I think it does not mean romance (though it doesn’t
rule it out). It’s a decision, whether to give up the old for the new – possibly
the same decision as the fourth event, in which case the double mention means it’s
absolutely crucial.
“Finally, the Pivot is the Knight of
Pentacles – how you approach him will affect everything else. Is he anyone you
recognise?”
