Friday 29th August

The Morning

We wake and discuss our trip to dreamlands. Adrian dreamt himself into the painting. There are a number of different architectural styles. St John dreamt of a forest that turned into the fungal forest. There were a couple of women who then cackled and flew off. He found a bright blue mushroom. Stooping down to pick it he woke. Belinda dreamt of being chased into a tomb by ghouls. In the candle lit tomb there was a coffin occupied by a sleeping woman. The woman reminds her of a fairy tale princess. As Belinda moves towards a book on a far shelf the woman changes into a hag. She reaches towards Belinda with a clawed hand. The movements of the hag mirror those of Belinda. Realising that it must be a mirror image she throws a candlestick at it breaking the mirror and waking from the dream. Alex and myself were able to control our dreams and returned to Celephais where we found out some useful information about ghouls.

A meeting with Toby Higginbottom

I talk to Barbara. She heads to the flat in Reading. He contacts Marmaduke and obtains permission for Belinda to talk to Toby Higginbottom. Belinda talks to Mr Mecredi about learning spells. Toby Higginbottom is drowsy when we see him on the video link. He is usually kept sedated as he is considered a risk to himself and others. Belinda is chosen to speak to him. She talks to him about Ghadamon. She refers to the dreamlands. Toby admits that Ghadamon is an artificial God. Nyharlahotep's name is mentioned. Toby tells her not to speak his name out loud. Toby wants to do a deal. He wants four hours of walking so he can dream. In return he will tell us what we need to know. Belinda talks to Tulip (Marmaduke) who denies the request on the grounds that Toby is too dangerous to be allowed to dream.

A trip to the Dreamlands

We prepare to view the painting "Karl Marx lies in Highgate Cemetery" at the TUC headquarters. The painting disturbs some of the group. Using Reiki I am able to calm a couple of them down. Sleeping next to the painting we hope to enter the dreamlands. Adrian and I need drugs to enter the dreamlands. Belinda is replaced by Gloriana in the dreamlands. We overhear some ghouls talking. Karl Marx, a cockney called Pearly King and Queen, and the 35th President of the USA (Kennedy). A god of the dreamlands has been imprisoned the soul of Blake and is using him to enter the real world. Pickman will not be happy.

The ghouls spot us and move towards us. Alex brandishes his ankh and they come no further. Alex talks to the ghouls and persuades them to take him to Pickman. The ghouls regard Pickman as strange. Following the ghouls we go through a ghoul hole and find ourselves on a mountainside. We realise that we are in the underworld. We are led up the mountain to a cave. Outside is a ghoul who is painting. The cave has pictures of dreamlands and the waking world. We need to convince Pickman that we are friends of Blake if we are not to become supper for ghouls. Pickman thinks that Blake is a great artist but also a fool. Blake wanted to complete the Ghadamon Cycle. Pickman is not in favour of the end times approaching. The Migo created Ghadamon. An ancient sorceress used to visit Ghadamon. She knew of ancient magic to protect herself from his minions. We learn that those ghouls that perform the correct rituals get personality and names. They eat the person that they want the personality of.

We are escorted to the tomb of the sorceress. Gloriana is replaced by a cloven hooved had. We cower and scream. We eventually realise that it's Belinda. Alex, Adrian and the hag enter the tomb in order to retrieve the spellbook. A while later we see Alex running out of the tomb with a book. The hag starts to shut the door as the sorceress casts her spell. The hag dissolves into the ground. She turns into a shoggoth! Alex runs downhill. I see the shoggoth and make a run for it. St John turns into Cameron. Knowing that he follows orders. I shout out to Cameron to ordering him to "Move out."

Moving through the tunnels we exit them and see daylight. Gloriana reasserts herself.

In the city of Baharna we find a fast ship heading for Celephais. We meet with the King. Adrian decides that he should be the one to read the Grimoire of Talia the Sorceress. Talia was a slavic woman who's dream personality became Talia the Sorceress. I inform Malachi of how Ghouls with names gain personality. I work with St John who had lost the power of speech. Afterwards he is able to say a few words but can't form sentences.

Saturday 30th August

In the TUC building we wake up. It's Saturday August 30th. Belinda and I visit the MI13 office for a debrief. I mention to my superiors how St John, Barbara and Belinda have very frayed nerves and could snap at any time.
